Intimate instrumental Christmas songs, great for dinner talking with friends or when reading a book. Played by some of the finest solo fingerstyle acoustic guitar players of the moment. Like for ex. Tommy Emmanuel or Chet Atkins.
A collection of joyful Noël hymns, played by some of this moment's finest fingerstyle guitarists from all over the world. Well suited for the quiet moments of the day, when reading a book. But also really tasteful for a dinner at home, talking with some friends, with the intimate sounding music at the background.
Featuring the well known guitarplayer Adam Rafferty. It contains 12 traditional Christmas Songs and 3 originals. Beautifully crafted arrangements for one solo guitar, which even make the more than hundred year old traditional songs sound like brand new. And you won't believe it's just one guitar playing on each song!
If you like the playing of people like Tommy Emmanuel, Harry Sacksioni, Sungha Jung and other fingerstyle guitar heroes then this might just be the album with Christmas music you will like.
"The guitars on the album sound amazingly warm and close, almost as if you're in the same room as the guitar player. Most of the songs are "one-take" recordings, recorded at home or in small studios. So maybe at some moments you will hear the squeek of a chair, or the breathing of the guitarplayer. But the quality of the performances, the beautiful arrangements of old Christmas songs and a three brilliant new songs make up for those small shortcomings."
The songs have been mastered at O2O studios by Olaf Noordanus.
This album is the outcome of an international project, initiated by Sem van Blerk, resulting in the collaboration of ten talented fingerstyle guitar players from the Netherlands, Hungary and the USA - including the famous guitarist: Adam Rafferty. Together they have created a special acoustic guitar Christmas album.
Adam contributed two songs to the album. The songs are taken from his Christmas album “A Christmas Guitar Celebration”.
